Coconut is a high vibration food in the body. It imparts healing qualities on those who consume it. Coconut oil is especially magical. Coconut is an amazing living plant food. Fresh coconut is a great addition to everyone's diet. There are three kinds of coconuts green, young and mature (brown) coconuts. Coconuts do not contain cholesterol. they contain raw saturated fat. Raw saturated fat can be beneficial to the human body. We do not recommend eating cooked coconut products or any cooked fats for that matter.

The green coconut is what a coconut looks like off of the tree. You see these on the ground where coconut tree grow. These can be found in asian markets throughout the US. You need a coconut machete. These are also prevalent in Hawaii.

The young coconut is a coconut that has had the outer shell partially removed and usually looks like a cylinder with a point on top. The water in a young coconut is a natural isotonic beverage. It has the same level of electrolytic balance as we have in our blood. It resembles blood plasma. Drinking coconut water is a blood builder. Some drink it in the morning with lime. The coconut naturally filters water through its roots and trunk ending up in the coconut nut (actually a seed). That can take over 6 months filter. The water is purified when it travels through the fibers of the tree. The average young coconut has about 2 cups of water in it. Refrigerate your coconuts and they will last longer. It can take 60 days to ship a coconut to the US. Some of these may be dipped in a sulfide preservative solution before shipping. For some eating these young coconuts everyday is too much, their fat can be simulating to the bowels. Each person needs to find their preference level for any food.

The mature (brown) round coconut is the coconut we see with the hairy brown appearance. It has three eyes on one side. One of the three eyes will be easily removed or dug out. Cut out the meat from the hole or poke something through it and drain the water. It will not have as much water as the young coconut. Next place the mature coconut in a plastic bag. Next you can crack it with a hammer on a hard surface. Sometimes the meat will come out of the shell other times you will need to carefully pry the meat from the shell with a small blunt knife. Cut the meat into 1 to 2 inch chunks. You can store the coconut meat in a container filled with water and place in the refrigerator. Keeps about a week. Change the water now and then if you desire. Eat a few pieces everyday or grate and shred it.

Organic Sliced, Grated or Shredded Coconut
Organic coconut, shredded or grated can be used in recipes, sprinkled on food or used as a garnish to beautify raw food recipes. You can grate the meat of the mature coconut and dry it in a dehydrator. You can also slice the meat very thin on a mandolin and dehydrate for coconut chips. Dehydrate at 105 degrees farenheit for 12 hours.
