Matcha is powdered green tea from Uji, Japan.
Matcha, is well known for its traditional usage in Chanoyu, the Japanese Tea Ceremony. A very centering ceremony, it is said that a person operating within the rules of Chanoyu finds the five senses working at their fullest. For the recipient of the tea, each cup can bring about greater mental concentration, emotional stability, and composure of mind.
In growing tea for matcha, the tea plants are covered with bamboo mats in the last few weeks of the season to promote full flavor. After the leaves are plucked, they are immediately steamed to spread the chlorophyll throughout the leaves and stop any oxidation. The leaves are then dried and rapidly cooled. The resulting dried product is called rough tea, or ‘aracha.’ Aracha is then cut into small pieces so that the twigs, veins and stems can be removed. The leaves are dried again and the resulting product is known as ‘tencha.’ Finally, the tencha is ground by stone mills in a climate-controlled room to produce the fine matcha powder. A single mill can only process about 40 grams per hour. The resulting powder has a sweet, buttery and rich oceanic taste. It is ideally prepared with a bamboo whisk and traditional chawan bowl, however it can also be prepared in a variety of drinks, shakes and smoothies.

Cashews are a staple for our household, for the many nutritional uses they bring in raw desserts and raw nut dips. Natural Zing consistently provides the best flavor and nutrient content available.
Of course these bars are delicious! Although some health advocates suggest that combinations of fruits, nuts and seeds are too hard for digestion, I find these bars healthier than others on the market, and decided to go for them.
These are the best olives. They are juicy and meaty and earthy. They put regular canned or store-bought olives to shame. Plus they are less expensive than the similar Sunfood Olives and taste much better. Fantastic.
My wife has been using Lions Mane extracts to become less dependent on psych meds, but many come in small doses or mixed in with other products.
